Precondition Core Rule
All three are national-only certification systems, only mandatory for goods without applicable TR CU / EAEU Technical Regulations.
None are mutually recognized: one country’s national GOST cannot clear customs in another EAEU state. EAC always has higher legal priority than all national GOSTs.

5. Special Local Technical Testing Requirements
GOST-R (Russia cold climate focus)
Mandatory extreme low-temperature testing per GOST 15150-69:
Class U (-25℃), HL (-40℃), XL (-50℃) for machinery, electrical, metal goods; all outdoor equipment must pass low-temperature cycling tests.
GOST-K (Kazakhstan harsh continental climate)
Extra mandatory tests for:
High ambient temperature, sand/dust resistance, salt corrosion, strong UV radiation; electrical products must match Kazakhstan local grid voltage tolerance standards.
GOST-BY (Belarus material safety priority)
Strict additional testing for food contact materials, construction glass toxicity, indoor paint volatile organic compounds (VOC); stricter formaldehyde limits for wood furniture than Russia/Kazakhstan.

GOST-R Mandatory List
High-voltage power equipment, metering instruments, industrial steel profiles, ceramic tableware, telecom radio terminals, special industrial coatings.
GOST-K Mandatory List
